Section 01
15 rulesGeneral Conduct
- 1Cape Republic RP is an 18+ serious roleplay server.
- 2Treat all players, staff members, and community members with respect.
- 3Racism, discrimination, harassment, hate speech, bullying, and targeted abuse are strictly prohibited.
- 4Excessive toxicity, arguing, provoking, or creating unnecessary community drama is not allowed.
- 5Threats involving real life will result in serious disciplinary action.
- 6Do not share another player's personal information.
- 7Advertising other servers, communities, products, or Discord servers is prohibited without management approval.
- 8Do not impersonate staff members, developers, police officers, EMS personnel, or recognised community members.
- 9Staff decisions must be respected during an active situation.
- 10Staff reports and appeals must be handled through the official ticket system.
- 11Do not privately message staff members repeatedly to demand help, refunds, unbans, or special treatment.
- 12False reports, edited evidence, or dishonest statements during a staff investigation may lead to additional punishment.
- 13Public nudity, explicit content, or inappropriate sexual behaviour is prohibited.
- 14Erotic roleplay must be consensual, private, and must never involve unwilling participants.
- 15Real-world political, religious, or controversial arguments should not disrupt the server or community.
Section 02
17 rulesRoleplay Standards
- 1Remain in character during active roleplay.
- 2Breaking character during a scene is prohibited unless a staff member instructs you to do so.
- 3Use /ooc only when absolutely necessary.
- 4Do not use out-of-character information to influence your character's decisions.
- 5Your character must behave realistically based on the situation.
- 6Your actions must have believable consequences.
- 7Do not treat the server like a deathmatch or arcade game.
- 8Your character must value their life, freedom, possessions, and relationships.
- 9Avoid unrealistic behaviour simply because a game mechanic allows it.
- 10Characters must have realistic names.
- 11Celebrity names, joke names, offensive names, and troll names are not allowed.
- 12Your character should have a believable personality, background, and reason for being in the city.
- 13You may not constantly change your character's personality to benefit yourself.
- 14Switching characters to escape consequences is prohibited.
- 15Creating a second character to assist your first character is prohibited.
- 16Characters belonging to the same player may not know each other or share information, vehicles, money, weapons, or property without staff approval.
- 17Roleplay should create stories, not only wins.
Section 03
12 rulesFail Roleplay
Fail Roleplay includes any unrealistic action that damages or ignores the roleplay situation.
- 1Ignoring serious injuries.
- 2Acting normally immediately after being shot, stabbed, or involved in a serious accident.
- 3Jumping from extreme heights without roleplaying injuries.
- 4Using game mechanics to escape consequences.
- 5Driving an unsuitable vehicle up mountains, stairs, or extreme terrain without a valid reason.
- 6Carrying on with a normal conversation while being threatened at gunpoint.
- 7Treating police, EMS, or other players as NPCs.
- 8Refusing to participate in reasonable roleplay.
- 9Performing impossible actions.
- 10Using animations to avoid being searched, arrested, injured, or attacked.
- 11Removing clothing or changing appearance during a chase to avoid identification.
- 12Returning to a scene without a valid reason after being removed from it.
Section 04
10 rulesFear Roleplay and Value of Life
- 1You must value your character's life.
- 2If a weapon is aimed at you and you are clearly at a disadvantage, you must comply.
- 3You may not draw a weapon while another player already has a firearm aimed at you.
- 4Do not act like a hero when your character is clearly outnumbered or overpowered.
- 5You may attempt to escape only when a realistic opportunity exists.
- 6You must fear dangerous situations, serious injuries, police consequences, and imprisonment.
- 7Hostages must follow reasonable instructions while their lives are threatened.
- 8You may not interfere while a weapon is aimed directly at your friend or gang member unless a realistic opportunity appears.
- 9A person holding someone at gunpoint must also value the hostage's life and provide reasonable roleplay.
- 10Repeatedly placing your character in deadly situations without concern for consequences may be considered poor roleplay.
Section 05
10 rulesMetagaming
Metagaming is using information your character did not learn through roleplay. The following are prohibited:
- 1Watching a livestream to locate another player.
- 2Using Discord messages during an active scene.
- 3Using another player's stream, screen share, or clips to obtain information.
- 4Recognising a masked player only by their voice without strong prior roleplay.
- 5Using name tags, IDs, scoreboard details, or player lists as character knowledge.
- 6Telling friends your location through Discord while kidnapped, downed, or arrested.
- 7Using information learned on another character.
- 8Reading police, gang, or staff Discord channels while roleplaying as someone without access to that information.
- 9Returning to a scene because someone messaged you outside the game.
- 10Using map blips or game bugs to locate hidden players.
Section 06
13 rulesPowergaming
Powergaming is forcing actions on another player or abusing game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage.
- 1Forcing permanent injuries or death on another character without approval.
- 2Using /me to force the result of an action.
- 3Refusing to give another player a chance to respond.
- 4Carrying unrealistic amounts of items.
- 5Using furniture, doors, animations, or vehicles to trap players unfairly.
- 6Using emotes to avoid damage, arrest, searches, or gunfire.
- 7Spamming tackles during combat.
- 8Exploiting restraints or menus.
- 9Forcing someone to empty an entire bank account.
- 10Forcing someone to transfer ownership of all their property.
- 11Using a vehicle to push someone through walls or locked areas.
- 12Using unrealistic medical roleplay to instantly recover.
- 13Starting a robbery without giving police a fair opportunity to respond.
Section 07
11 rulesRDM and VDM
Random Deathmatch (RDM) is attacking or killing another player without sufficient roleplay, interaction, or valid initiation. Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) is intentionally using a vehicle as a weapon without valid roleplay.
- 1Shooting someone without speaking to them.
- 2Killing someone because they insulted you once.
- 3Shooting police during a normal traffic stop without escalation.
- 4Attacking random people because they entered your area.
- 5Starting a gunfight without clear hostile roleplay.
- 6Deliberately running someone over.
- 7Repeatedly hitting a player with a vehicle.
- 8Driving into a crowd to disrupt a scene.
- 9Using a vehicle to kill a player who is pointing a weapon at you unless it is a realistic last-resort escape.
- 10Ramming vehicles repeatedly without valid roleplay.
- 11Accidents are not automatically VDM, but reckless or intentional actions may still be punished.
Section 08
9 rulesNew Life Rule
- 1After your character dies or is fully respawned, they may not remember the immediate events leading to their death.
- 2You may not return to the same scene for at least 30 minutes.
- 3You may not return to retrieve weapons, vehicles, or property from the scene.
- 4Friends may not remind you of information your character should have forgotten.
- 5You may not seek revenge based on forgotten information.
- 6You may remember general relationships, locations, and long-term conflicts.
- 7Gang-war rules may contain specific exceptions announced by staff.
- 8Being revived by EMS does not automatically erase your memory, but you must roleplay your injuries.
- 9Using a second character to return to the scene is prohibited.
Section 09
17 rulesCombat Rules
- 1Hostile actions require proper verbal or situational initiation.
- 2Initiation must be clear enough for the other player to understand.
- 3A minor argument is not automatic permission to shoot.
- 4Give players a reasonable amount of time to respond to demands.
- 5Drive-by shootings require strong roleplay buildup.
- 6Shooting from vehicles without meaningful interaction is prohibited.
- 7Combat logging is prohibited.
- 8Disconnecting during a chase, robbery, arrest, kidnapping, or gunfight may result in punishment.
- 9If your game crashes, reconnect as soon as possible and contact staff when necessary.
- 10Do not heal, change clothing, or access storage during active combat.
- 11Do not enter a safe zone to escape an active scene.
- 12Do not abuse third-person camera angles to see through walls or around impossible corners.
- 13Do not use inaccessible rooftops or glitched areas during combat.
- 14Do not hide inside locked interiors that cannot be accessed by the opposing side.
- 15Tackle spamming is prohibited.
- 16Animation abuse during combat is prohibited.
- 17Gunfights should be the final stage of escalation, not the beginning of every interaction.
Section 10
8 rulesRevenge and Retaliation
- 1Revenge must have valid roleplay buildup.
- 2Revenge may not happen immediately after respawning.
- 3A minimum 15-minute cooldown applies before organised retaliation unless staff-approved gang-war rules state otherwise.
- 4Do not repeatedly target the same person after the original conflict has ended.
- 5Revenge against police must be based on character roleplay, not anger about an arrest.
- 6You may not attack EMS for treating an opposing group.
- 7Revenge roleplay must end eventually.
- 8Long-term conflict should include negotiations, planning, consequences, and story development.
Section 11
18 rulesPolice Interaction
- 1Follow lawful police instructions during traffic stops, checkpoints, searches, and arrests.
- 2You may question or challenge police actions through roleplay, legal proceedings, or a lawyer.
- 3Do not shoot police simply because you are being stopped.
- 4Police must be given time to initiate and explain the situation.
- 5Escaping from police is allowed when it makes sense for your character.
- 6Police may search vehicles, suspects, or properties when supported by roleplay, warrants, or probable cause.
- 7Wearing a mask does not automatically make you immune from suspicion.
- 8Police may instruct you to remove a mask in certain lawful situations.
- 9Do not repeatedly bait police into pursuits.
- 10Cop baiting is prohibited.
- 11Stealing police vehicles without serious roleplay justification is prohibited.
- 12Police equipment may not be stolen simply for profit.
- 13Impersonating police requires staff approval.
- 14Corrupt police roleplay requires management approval.
- 15Police officers must not abuse their powers.
- 16Police officers must remain professional and provide fair roleplay.
- 17Police may not use information from private Discord channels as automatic in-character knowledge unless properly communicated through roleplay systems.
- 18Players must not argue about rules during an arrest. Complete the scene and submit a report afterward.
Section 12
12 rulesEMS and Medical Roleplay
- 1EMS must be treated as neutral unless actively involved in a criminal situation.
- 2Do not kidnap or attack EMS without strong roleplay reasons.
- 3Do not call EMS to ambush them.
- 4EMS may not revive players until the scene is safe.
- 5The winning side of an active conflict receives treatment first where applicable.
- 6Players must roleplay injuries realistically after treatment.
- 7Do not immediately return to dangerous activity after serious medical treatment.
- 8EMS members may not participate in serious crime while on duty.
- 9EMS vehicles and equipment may not be stolen without strong story-based roleplay.
- 10Do not force EMS to revive someone during an active hostile scene.
- 11Medical staff may refuse treatment where the scene is unsafe.
- 12False EMS calls may result in punishment.
Section 13
11 rulesLawyers, Judges, and Court Roleplay
- 1Lawyers must behave professionally.
- 2Lawyers may negotiate sentences, fines, and legal outcomes where permitted.
- 3Lawyers may not use their position to openly assist criminal activity.
- 4Judges have final authority during formal court proceedings.
- 5Evidence submitted in court must be obtained through valid roleplay.
- 6False documents or fabricated evidence require staff approval.
- 7Players must respect court decisions.
- 8Court scenes must not be interrupted without serious story justification.
- 9Bail availability depends on the charge, judge, and city laws.
- 10Only authorised legal representatives may claim to represent another player.
- 11Legal RP should create fair opportunities for police and civilians.
Section 14
20 rulesRobbery Rules
- 1A minimum number of police officers must be on duty before certain robberies may begin.
- 2Check the relevant robbery requirements before starting.
- 3Do not begin a robbery shortly before a server restart.
- 4Do not chain multiple major robberies back-to-back.
- 5Major robberies require planning and roleplay.
- 6Fake hostages are prohibited.
- 7Friends may not pretend to be hostages.
- 8Hostages may not willingly assist robbers unless established roleplay supports it.
- 9Police must be given a reasonable chance to respond.
- 10Robbers may make reasonable demands.
- 11Demands must be possible, fair, and relevant to the scene.
- 12A maximum of three primary demands may be made unless staff-approved rules state otherwise.
- 13Police may refuse unreasonable demands.
- 14Robbers must not execute hostages without serious escalation.
- 15Robbers may not demand that police provide weapons, money, or unrestricted escape.
- 16Vehicle swaps must be reasonable.
- 17Do not use aircraft, boats, or extreme vehicles for every robbery.
- 18Robberies must not be treated as simple farming activities.
- 19Repeating the same robbery continuously may result in punishment.
- 20Players may not exploit robbery cooldowns or mechanics.
Section 15
14 rulesHostage Rules
- 1Hostage situations require active police presence.
- 2Hostages must be real, unwilling participants.
- 3Do not use friends as cooperative hostages.
- 4Do not repeatedly kidnap the same player.
- 5Hostages must be treated fairly and given roleplay.
- 6Hostages must value their lives.
- 7Robbers must not place impossible demands on hostages.
- 8Hostages may attempt to escape only when a realistic opportunity exists.
- 9A hostage may not use outside communication while restrained or under direct threat.
- 10Civilians should not be dragged into gang conflicts without a valid story reason.
- 11Kidnapping government employees requires strong roleplay justification.
- 12Kidnapping staff characters to influence staff decisions is prohibited.
- 13Hostages may not be held for excessive periods without meaningful roleplay.
- 14Permanent consequences require consent and staff approval.
Section 16
20 rulesGang Rules
- 1Gangs must be approved by management.
- 2Gang names, clothing, colours, and territory must be approved.
- 3Gang members must remain active.
- 4Gangs must have at least four active members participating several times per week.
- 5Gangs may have a maximum number of members set by management.
- 6Gang members must not use unofficial members to bypass member limits.
- 7Gang activity must include more than robberies and shootings.
- 8Gangs should create businesses, alliances, rivalries, negotiations, and community stories.
- 9Gangs must not recruit brand-new players only to increase numbers.
- 10Gang leaders are responsible for their members' behaviour.
- 11Repeated rule breaks may cause the entire gang to receive strikes or be removed.
- 12Gang clothing may not be used by non-members to intentionally create confusion.
- 13Gang Discord communications may not be used as in-character communication during active scenes.
- 14Gangs may not force civilians to join.
- 15Gangs may not claim every public location as territory.
- 16Territory disputes require roleplay escalation.
- 17Major gang wars require staff approval.
- 18Gang wars must have clear start and end conditions.
- 19Gang wars must not become endless daily deathmatches.
- 20Civilian areas should not be used as permanent gang battlefields.
Section 17
14 rulesGang War Rules
- 1Gang wars must be approved or recognised by management.
- 2Only registered members may participate.
- 3Outside groups may not interfere.
- 4War terms must be agreed upon.
- 5Weapon limits, locations, times, and conditions may be set by staff.
- 6Participants must follow cooldowns.
- 7Police may intervene when fighting occurs in public.
- 8Armed gang members may be treated as active threats.
- 9Gang members may not use safe zones to avoid conflict.
- 10Injured or downed participants must remain out of the active battle.
- 11Gang wars must not disrupt the entire city continuously.
- 12Staff may end a war when it damages the server.
- 13The winning side may not humiliate or harass the losing side outside roleplay.
- 14OOC arguments about gang outcomes may result in gang strikes.
Section 18
8 rulesSafe Zones
Safe zones are protected areas where crime, violence, kidnapping, robbery, and hostile actions are prohibited. These include hospitals, police stations, government buildings, approved dealerships and mechanics, restaurants, clothing stores, spawn and character selection areas, public job centres, and other locations announced by staff.
- 1Do not enter a safe zone to escape an active scene.
- 2A scene that begins outside a safe zone may continue only when staff-approved rules permit it.
- 3Do not wait outside safe zones to attack players leaving.
- 4Do not provoke players from inside a safe zone.
- 5Do not steal vehicles from safe-zone parking areas.
- 6Do not conduct illegal transactions inside safe zones.
- 7Exploiting safe-zone protection will result in punishment.
- 8Police may still make lawful arrests inside safe zones.
Section 19
21 rulesVehicles and Driving
- 1Drive realistically based on the vehicle, road, weather, and situation.
- 2Excessive speeding through populated areas without roleplay reason is prohibited.
- 3Do not repeatedly drive on pavements.
- 4Do not use sports cars or normal road vehicles for extreme off-road driving.
- 5Off-road vehicles may be used in appropriate terrain.
- 6Avoid unrealistic jumps.
- 7Do not launch vehicles from ramps without valid event or story roleplay.
- 8Vehicle ramming must be realistic and limited.
- 9Repeated high-speed ramming is prohibited.
- 10Pit manoeuvres must be reasonable for the vehicles and speeds involved.
- 11Do not repair a vehicle during an active chase.
- 12Do not store a vehicle while police or other players are actively pursuing it.
- 13Do not change vehicles through garages to avoid identification.
- 14Do not hide vehicles inside inaccessible or glitched areas.
- 15Vehicles without proper registration may be fined or impounded.
- 16Second-hand vehicle transfers must follow city procedures.
- 17Vehicle ownership scams are prohibited unless part of staff-approved roleplay.
- 18Pay vehicle finance and bills when required.
- 19Unpaid vehicles may be repossessed.
- 20Aircraft may only be operated by properly trained or authorised characters.
- 21Emergency vehicles may not be stolen without serious roleplay justification.
Section 20
11 rulesVehicle Pursuits
- 1Pursuits must be driven realistically.
- 2Do not use extreme jumps to escape police.
- 3Do not repeatedly change vehicles without proper roleplay.
- 4Do not enter water solely to avoid arrest unless using an appropriate vehicle.
- 5Police must avoid excessive force during low-level pursuits.
- 6Criminals must not deliberately cause mass collisions.
- 7Pursuits should not continue indefinitely.
- 8Players may surrender when the situation becomes unrealistic or unwinnable.
- 9Police may use escalation based on the threat presented.
- 10Shooting from vehicles during a chase requires valid escalation.
- 11Players may not use garages or interiors to instantly disappear.
Section 21
15 rulesWeapons
- 1Firearms must be treated as dangerous.
- 2Do not display weapons without a reason.
- 3Do not carry heavy weapons openly in public.
- 4Heavy weapons require strong roleplay justification.
- 5Illegal weapons may result in serious police consequences.
- 6Firing warning shots without valid reason may be treated as hostile action.
- 7Random gunfire is prohibited.
- 8Shooting into the air in populated areas is prohibited.
- 9Do not hand weapons to new players for no reason.
- 10Weapons may not be transferred between your own characters.
- 11Weapon serial numbers, licences, and evidence must be respected.
- 12Players may not exploit weapon durability or ammunition systems.
- 13Weapon attachments must be obtained through legitimate server systems.
- 14Stolen police weapons may attract severe in-character consequences.
- 15Using weapons obtained through bugs or exploits will result in punishment.
Section 22
16 rulesBusinesses
- 1Player-owned businesses must remain active.
- 2Businesses should create jobs and roleplay.
- 3Business owners must not use the business only for personal storage.
- 4Business funds must be used responsibly.
- 5Business owners may not steal from employee accounts through exploits.
- 6Employees must not withdraw unreasonable amounts without approval.
- 7Owners may not scam customers through forced mechanics.
- 8Businesses may not refuse service based on out-of-character conflict.
- 9Businesses may set reasonable prices.
- 10Businesses may not create monopolies through rule abuse.
- 11Business locations may have specific safe-zone rules.
- 12Illegal businesses require staff approval.
- 13Inactive businesses may be removed, sold, or reassigned.
- 14Business owners are responsible for staff conduct.
- 15Business advertising must remain appropriate.
- 16Businesses may not store unlimited illegal items without consequences.
Section 23
12 rulesEconomy and Scamming
- 1Exploiting the economy is prohibited.
- 2Duping money, vehicles, weapons, or items will result in a permanent ban.
- 3Real-money trading is prohibited unless done through official authorised systems.
- 4Selling in-game money or assets for real-world money is prohibited.
- 5Scamming may only occur when allowed by server rules and must remain reasonable.
- 6New players may not be targeted for large scams.
- 7Property and vehicle scams are prohibited unless staff-approved.
- 8Bank-transfer exploits are prohibited.
- 9Players must report accidental duplicate payments or items.
- 10Do not hide or distribute exploited assets.
- 11Loans and debts should be documented through roleplay.
- 12Staff may reverse transactions involving exploits or severe rule breaks.
Section 24
13 rulesJobs and Government Employment
- 1Employees must perform their jobs realistically.
- 2Government employees must follow department rules.
- 3Job vehicles may only be used for job duties.
- 4Job equipment may not be stolen or sold.
- 5Clocking in only to receive benefits without working is prohibited.
- 6Government employees may not abuse job permissions.
- 7Police, EMS, lawyers, and mechanics must remain active.
- 8Department corruption requires staff approval.
- 9Employees may be removed for inactivity.
- 10Department leaders are responsible for training and conduct.
- 11Job strikes and protests require management approval when they affect core city services.
- 12Do not use government jobs to collect information for criminal characters.
- 13Switching between government and criminal characters to gain an advantage is prohibited.
Section 25
12 rulesProperty and Housing
- 1Property ownership must follow city systems.
- 2Do not exploit doors, locks, garages, or storage.
- 3Players may not enter locked properties through glitches.
- 4Property raids require proper legal or criminal roleplay.
- 5Do not use properties to permanently hide from active police scenes.
- 6Housing storage may not be used to store exploited items.
- 7Property transfers must be legitimate.
- 8Rental scams are prohibited.
- 9Shared property access should be granted carefully.
- 10Staff will not automatically return items lost because of careless access sharing.
- 11Illegal property activity may result in raids.
- 12Inactive properties may be reclaimed under city policies.
Section 26
11 rulesClothing, Masks, and Identification
- 1Characters should wear clothing appropriate to their role.
- 2Do not change clothing during an active pursuit.
- 3Do not remove a mask simply to claim police cannot identify you.
- 4Masks may hide facial identity but do not erase other evidence.
- 5Police may recognise vehicles, tattoos, clothing, voice patterns, and behaviour when supported by roleplay.
- 6A mask does not make someone completely anonymous.
- 7Gang clothing should be consistent.
- 8Police uniforms, EMS uniforms, and official clothing may not be worn without authorisation.
- 9Using invisible or glitched clothing is prohibited.
- 10Offensive clothing is prohibited.
- 11Characters should not recognise heavily disguised players without valid evidence.
Section 27
13 rulesVoice and Communication
- 1A working microphone is required.
- 2Use a clear and understandable voice.
- 3Voice changers must remain realistic.
- 4Extremely distorted or disruptive voice changers are prohibited.
- 5Music spam is prohibited.
- 6Soundboards may only be used appropriately.
- 7Do not scream continuously into your microphone.
- 8Do not use Discord voice during active roleplay.
- 9In-game radios must be used for in-character communication.
- 10Players who are unconscious, restrained, or under direct threat may have communication restrictions.
- 11Do not abuse radio channels.
- 12Police and gang radio frequencies may not be guessed or accessed through exploits.
- 13Streamer mode does not excuse missing important roleplay communication.
Section 28
10 rulesStreamers and Content Creators
- 1Stream sniping is prohibited.
- 2Players may not use a stream to locate or identify someone.
- 3Streamers must follow the same rules as everyone else.
- 4Streamers do not receive special treatment.
- 5Do not intentionally disrupt streams.
- 6Content creators must protect sensitive staff or private information.
- 7Staff scenes should not be broadcast when requested otherwise.
- 8Clips may be used as evidence but must show sufficient context.
- 9Edited clips designed to mislead staff may result in punishment.
- 10Streamers should use delays when involved in high-risk criminal RP.
Section 29
15 rulesBugs, Exploits, and Cheats
- 1Cheating is prohibited.
- 2Mod menus, injectors, aim assistance, wallhacks, speed hacks, or unauthorised software will result in a permanent ban.
- 3Exploiting bugs is prohibited.
- 4Bugs must be reported privately to staff.
- 5Do not teach other players how to exploit.
- 6Do not retain money or items obtained through bugs.
- 7Duplication exploits will result in severe punishment.
- 8Glitching through doors or walls is prohibited.
- 9Abusing animations to avoid damage is prohibited.
- 10Using visual modifications that provide an unfair advantage is prohibited.
- 11Crosshairs, hit indicators, or graphic modifications may be restricted by server policy.
- 12Macro abuse is prohibited.
- 13AFK farming is prohibited.
- 14Automated scripts or bots are prohibited.
- 15Ban evasion is prohibited.
Section 30
8 rulesServer Restarts
- 1Do not begin major criminal scenes shortly before a scheduled restart.
- 2Players should safely conclude active scenes when possible.
- 3Do not use a restart to avoid consequences.
- 4Disconnecting just before restart does not cancel an active scene.
- 5After restart, involved players should attempt to continue important scenes where possible.
- 6Do not rush to loot or claim assets immediately after restart.
- 7Staff may announce special restart instructions.
- 8Server crashes should be handled fairly by all involved parties.
Section 31
12 rulesReports and Evidence
- 1Use the proper report or ticket system.
- 2Do not argue about rules during active roleplay.
- 3Record clips when possible.

- 6Keep out-of-character issues away from in-character scenes.
- 7Report problems properly.
- 8Contribute positively to the city.
